Not Quite As Good as NBA 2K7 4 out of 5

Personally, I preferred NBA 2K7 over this version. Although it's easy to adjust the settings like speed, and game sliders (% FT, % 3-Point, etc.); I have trouble getting the settings to my own liking, which is a fast-paced high-percentage shots made kind of game. But that doesn't mean I don't want the computer to be challenging. And I can't figure out a ratio that I like where I don't just blow out the computer every time.

good gameplay, but still lacking 3 out of 5

okay to start this off i would say that i like nba 2k8 and it is a fun game to play. however there are several reoccuring problems which i have noticed and they detract significantly from the game. firstly the computer seems to commit a backcourt violation nearly every play and it goes uncalled despite the fact i have backcourts on. Also maybe i have just been playing too much ps3 but it seems like the players tend to go through each other way too much, especially during crucial plays under the basket. whats the point of playing defense if your opponent can hop step right through your 7 foot center for an easy layup every time?
overall it is a good game but these little problems bug the sh¡t out of me

same ole' game 3 out of 5

This game is a pretty decent game, but just lacks new things to do every year. They need more creativity and depth in this game, but still solid overall game. 2 easy to score compared to the college game.

NBA 2K8 Gets Nothing But Net! 4 out of 5

This game is great, but I'll start off with this: It is much, much better for the Xbox 360 and PS3. The graphics on NBA 2K8 aren't that great, but are good enough. The gameplay is what really sticks out in this game. It is easy to see the court, the passing is flawless, and the game has plenty of modes. I really liked how you could pick from retro, regular, and secondary jerseys for your team to wear. The developers really took time to make each player realistic and have their own unique abilities. The commentators are repetitive and annoying, but they are pretty acurate. The controls are pretty simple and are easy to pick up. The biggest dissapointment: NO SLAM DUNK CONTEST!!!!!!!! If they added that, I would have given this game 5 stars! If you have the chance, spend the extra money and buy it for the 360 or PS3. The graphics are much better than the PS2, and there's a slam dunk contest. NBA 2K8 is the best b-ball game for 2008 right now, so any basketball fan should buy it-especially for the good price.

Good Game 4 out of 5

Bought this game for my son and he is enjoying it. From time to time we play together, but he is starting to learn the game and pick up on some of the teams (Yes!!!). Graphics aren't the greatest and stealing the ball is somewhat easy. Other than that, it is a fun game.
