This is a great game for learning, strategy, and entertainment. I grew up playing the game in elementary school.

It is beneficial to children because the colors and theme park scheme work really well to aid them in learning how business and cooperation works, along with mocking reality with visitors and deadlines. What could be funner than watching customers throw up after rides or run around, constipated from the terrifying desire to use the toilet? Being the one in control of them, of course.

Adults will still find this one a goodie, simply because it's an oldie. So nostalgic and comical, yet entertaining and lighthearted at the same time. Feel free to reminiscence on the days when your age was still in single digits or you patiently endured the joys of high school with cotton candy stands and bathroom stalls. Now, you are running the theme park you used to hang out at, except this time, you earn the profits.

Losing one star for choppy graphics, building issues I've had in the past, and the ability to drown customers in your own body of water.

I started playing the first roller coaster tycoon when it came out, and this one is even better. I still play this game sometimes. The 3rd roller coaster tycoon isn't as good as the first two though.

Although this is an older game, I bought this game for my 8 year old nephew for xmas 2009 as my kids had really enjoyed playing it. In talking to him and my sister, he has not been able to stop playing it. Lots of fun - building roller coasters and other attractions. He especially likes to build steep ones so people who ride them get sick, requiring a maintenance guy to have to come and clean up the mess.

I bought this game at the request of my 12-year old daughter. Often she'll get a game and tire of it quickly, but not with this one. She loves creating the game park over and over. So far so good. It's been well worth the price to buy it for her.
